Transformación digital e inteligencia artificial en la educación rural de América Latina: conectividad significativa, competencias digitales docentes y desarrollo territorial

La transformación digital de la educación rural en América Latina exige superar la entrega aislada de equipos y la simple ampliación de cobertura. La persistencia de brechas territoriales, el avance de la inteligencia artificial y las demandas de recuperación educativa requieren un enfoque que articule conectividad significativa, capacidades docentes, pertinencia sociocultural, gobernanza y sostenibilidad. El objetivo del artículo es analizar críticamente estas dimensiones y proponer orientaciones aplicables a los sistemas educativos rurales de la región. Se desarrolló una revisión integrativa con procedimiento de búsqueda sistematizado, con corte al 6 de agosto de 2026, a partir de 50 publicaciones académicas y documentos institucionales localizados en repositorios científicos y organismos internacionales. Los resultados muestran que la brecha digital rural comprende acceso, calidad, asequibilidad, continuidad, competencias, seguridad y capacidad para producir conocimiento. Asimismo, la inteligencia artificial exige alfabetización crítica, protección de datos, supervisión humana y formación docente situada. Como aporte, se formula el Modelo 5C, integrado por conectividad significativa, competencias digitales e inteligencia artificial, contextualización pedagógica, comunidad e interculturalidad, y continuidad ética y sostenible. Se concluye que la tecnología adquiere valor educativo cuando fortalece el aprendizaje, la agencia docente, la identidad comunitaria y las capacidades para el desarrollo territorial.
